The Spirit Realm | RENEW YOUR MIND

MODULE 5 VIDEO LECTURES

1. The Spirit Realm (1 hour 44 minutes)

OBJECTIVE:

To introduce the concept of the spirit realm in a grounded, practical way. Helping you understand how the spiritual and physical dimensions interact, how to identify and test spiritual influences (both divine and demonic), and how to operate with authority and emotional regulation from that place, without losing footing in reality.

TAKEAWAY:

1. The Spirit Realm Is Real but Requires Careful Navigation

The spirit realm is immaterial by nature and cannot be made fully tangible. Approaching it without proper grounding risks psychological instability — the line between spiritual sensitivity and what looks like mental illness is razor thin. Students must know who they are and understand their authority before engaging.

2. Know How to Test Spirits

You cannot test spirits if you don't know yourself, your soul wounds, or where your emotions leave you vulnerable to manipulation. Unhealed trauma and emotional triggers are "legal access points" the enemy uses to gain a foothold.

3. The Physical and Spiritual Are in Constant Two-Way Relationship

What you do and declare in the physical affects the spirit realm, and what happens in the spirit realm affects the physical. It is not a one-directional relationship. Names, declarations, seasons, and containers all carry spiritual weight.

4. Names and Seasons Are Spiritual Containers

Names carry anointing for specific seasons. When God moves you into a new season, you may need a new name or identity container to hold what He is pouring into that chapter. Clinging to an old identity or name can block what's next.

5. Emotional Regulation Is a Non-Negotiable for Spiritual Authority

Whether facing spiritual warfare, demonic agitation, or even exciting spiritual experiences, the goal is always to remain regulated — calm, grounded, and present. Jesus modeled this through 40 days in the desert. Hysteria and extreme emotional reactions indicate the enemy may have an opening.

6. Demonic Spirits Are Clustered and Named

Spirits are not random — they operate in clusters (like Russian nesting dolls), have names, and feed on specific emotional and hormonal states. Naming a spirit matters because the name reflects its nature, access point, and strategy.

7. You Must Actively Guard Your Territory

Believers must "plant a flag" on the territory of their mind, body, and life through intentional spiritual declaration and discipline. Speaking enemy names, entertaining their intrusive patterns, or agreeing with fear or guilt gives the enemy legal ground.

8. God Calls Believers Into All Areas of Life — Not Just Ministry

Being a person of Spirit does not mean retreating into religious spaces. You are called to be present as a light in medicine, art, business, and culture — but only if you can maintain your sanctification while doing so.

9. Holy Spirit Is Activated in the Body (Including the Fascia)

The body stores trauma as encoded memory in the fascia and energy centers. Holy Spirit living is not only spiritual but physically embodied — healing in the spirit realm has tangible effects on the nervous system and physical body.

2. Take Thoughts Captive: How to Use Prayer & Declaration (40 minutes)

OBJECTIVE:

To move beyond passive, petition-based prayer into active, authoritative declaration, understanding that we have been given spiritual authority by Jesus Christ to directly rebuke fear, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and spiritual oppression rather than pleading with God to remove things He has already empowered us to handle it ourselves.

TAKEAWAY:

Prayer vs. Declaration — Prayer is a request ("God, please take away my anxiety"), while a declaration is a final, authoritative statement ("I rebuke the spirit of anxiety, my body is healed and whole"). You cannot take thoughts captive with a question. Declarations require faith and maturity; beg-praying over the same thing repeatedly reflects a misunderstanding of the authority believers have been given.

You have delegated authority — Believers stand in authority under Jesus Christ, who is under God the Father. This chain of authority is what makes a declaration spiritually effective. You must understand and verbalize this covering ("I declare under the authority of Jesus Christ…"), and it must be spoken out loud, not just thought.

Fear makes you vulnerable — Operating in fear in spiritual warfare is like "smelling like bacon." Showing up afraid actually invites attack. The goal is to flip this dynamic: show up with the confidence of a warrior so that opposing forces are the ones that flee. Faith and fear are direct opposites.

Know who to go to in the Trinity — Each person of the Trinity serves a distinct function. Holy Spirit is for wisdom, vision, intuition, and prophetic guidance. Jesus is for peace, teaching, dignity, and restoration. God the Father is for rebuke, protection, justice, and swift correction. Directing declarations to the right source matters for effectiveness.

Don't create dependency on rituals or objects — Physical objects (rosaries, crystals, etc.) may serve as helpful focal points, but they are never a prerequisite for spiritual communion. Telling yourself "I can't pray without X" limits your authority and misplaces power in a physical dimension that isn't where this operates.

Reclaiming mental territory is active, not passive — Just as land can be spiritually reclaimed through presence and declaration, so too can your mind. Identify the intrusive thought or spirit by name, refuse agreement with it, rebuke it, declare the opposite over yourself, and then oppose the pattern in action (e.g., if jealousy arises, go compliment the person). This four-step process — identify, rebuke, declare, oppose — is the practical framework for taking thoughts captive.

After declaration comes gratitude — Once you've declared, live forward as if it is already done. Doubt after a declaration collapses its potentiality. Gratitude locks in the declaration, because you believe it is already finished.

Discernment for who needs this — Not everyone in the course needs deep spiritual warfare training. Those still dealing with significant self-trust wounds should be cautious about naming specific spirits, as doing so before having solid spiritual footing may backfire. But those with strong anointings or public/world-changing missions are likely to face more intense spiritual opposition and need to be equipped accordingly.

3. The Legalities of Spiritual Warfare (1 hour 7 minutes)

OBJECTIVE:

How to understand and operate within the legal framework of spiritual warfare. Christians have been given divine authority and must learn to actively stand in that authority using the Word of God like legal language, rather than passively praying or "rolling over" when under spiritual attack. The episode builds on the previous week's lesson by moving from concept to practical application: how to petition the "Courts of Heaven," declare God's Word, fight spiritual battles effectively, and intercede for others.

TAKEAWAY:

1. Christians have authority, but must actively use it.

Believers are not meant to simply beg God for help; they have been granted spiritual authority (modeled by Jesus). The challenge is that many don't know what that authority is, how to stand in it, or how to use their words to declare and petition for what is rightfully theirs in Christ.

2. A self-trust wound is a primary obstacle.

One of the core reasons believers struggle to stand in spiritual authority is a deep-seated self-trust wound. If you don't trust yourself, you can't trust yourself to stand in your God-given authority. This wound must be addressed before engaging in spiritual battle.

3. Prerequisites for spiritual warfare.

You must be emotionally regulated, know your identity in Christ, and have sealed up your self-trust wound before entering the spiritual battlefield. Going in emotionally unhealed makes you vulnerable, you can be "used as a weapon" rather than being the one wielding it.

4. Spiritual warfare is legal, not just emotional.

Just as you wouldn't face a skilled prosecutor in court without knowing the law, you cannot fight spiritual battles without knowing God's Word. Satan knows how to use and twist the law to keep God's people stuck, so believers must be equally literate in scriptural truth, understanding what is legally and spiritually rightful as children of God.

5. Two pathways to the Courts of Heaven.

The episode introduces the concept of petitioning the Courts of Heaven, visualized in the higher spiritual dimensions, as a structured, intentional act. There are two distinct pathways to approaching this: one direct and one through intercession with others. A workbook supplement with visuals was referenced to accompany this teaching.

6. We are not battling flesh and blood.

A major point is that interpersonal conflicts (even within families) are not personal, they are spiritual. Engaging in circular, flesh-level arguments is a waste. The battle is in the spirit, and treating it otherwise only fuels the enemy's agenda.

7. Prophetic gifts carry responsibility to intercede.

If you are shown something bad through a prophetic gift, it may be shown to you so you can intercede and stand against it, not so you can fall into fear and allow it to happen. Seeing a negative outcome is a call to action, not resignation.

8. Prayer must be intentional and "legally" structured.

Like presenting a case in court, prayers and declarations in spiritual warfare should be focused, potent, and aligned with scripture. Vague, overly wordy, or emotionally scattered prayer is ineffective. Psalms such as Psalm 35, 140, 109, and 73 were highlighted as powerful tools for specific situations (false accusations, betrayal, persecution, etc.).

9. The core thesis of the BREAK Method.

Self-deception is a consequence of the Fall (Genesis), and God is actively working to help believers see through distortion so Satan can no longer manipulate them. When you can identify distorted thinking and take every thought captive, you are ready to stand in spiritual authority and fight battles for yourself and others.

10. God needs His people active and awake right now.

There is a sense of urgency in that in this current season, God needs all believers to show up and do their part. Many are "asleep at the wheel," and the restoration process (healing self-trust wounds, renewing the mind, understanding spiritual law) is what prepares each person to fulfill their calling.

4. Sanctification & Deliverance: A Life Renewed (1 hour 14 minutes)

OBJECTIVE:

"I can't change my patterns/desires — that's just who I am."

Push back on the idea that emotional dysregulation, sexual kinks, self-deception, and deeply ingrained behavior patterns are simply fixed traits or natural states. Most of what people accept as their identity is actually a wound-driven coping mechanism, and that sanctification (the process of being made holy/set apart) is the active, effortful work of renewing the mind to move out of those patterns. The core counter point is this: these desires and tendencies are not your organic God-given nature, they are the fruit of unhealed soul wounds.

TAKEAWAY:

1. Compartmentalization is a learned survival pattern, not a personality type. People either learn to suppress (compartmentalize) or to externalize their emotional needs as children, and these two types often end up in relationship with each other. The goal for both types is to develop nervous system safety so they can choose the appropriate response rather than default to their pattern.

2. Renewing your mind requires active, practical work. Being able to name: who triggers you, what soul wounds are activated, what emotions arise, what beliefs become distorted, and how the enemy uses these loops. Literally write these down and pursue them in prayer, declaration, and petition.

3. The right fellowship is critical. You need people in your corner who can spot emotional dysregulation and self-deception and not people who will let you get away with your own "shenanigans." Most people lack this, and it's one of the biggest gaps in genuine transformation.

4. Self-deception is a core obstacle to sanctification. The common deflect is → projection → blame-shift → split → exit cycle that happens under emotional triggers, and frames it as the central reason the BREAK Method exists, because people genuinely cannot see their own self-deception in those moments without outside help and internal work.

5. Reduced sexual desire is a healthy sign of healing, not repression. It may seem a controversial claim but it is intentional that as emotional wounds heal and regulation improves, sexual preoccupation naturally decreases. Connecting sexual kinks specifically to unresolved emotional wounds, framed as symptoms rather than inherent preferences.

6. Holiness is often lonely, and that's by design. The deeper you go into sanctification, the fewer people can walk with you in that depth. This loneliness not as a problem but as a feature: God calls us to ponder the deep mysteries with Him, and being truly "set apart" means accepting that kind of sacred solitude, rather than playing it safe or performing Christianity socially.
